I am like millions of you who just can’t resist sweets. Deserts make my world more colorful and sweet. You know, I am a little biased when it comes to savory delights. No chocolates or toffees for me but let the traditional deserts keep coming in.

One of my all time favorite desert is the Turkish baklava. I know you must have heard that from so many people but what to do it is actually awesome. I have very fond memories attached with baklavas. I tasted it first when I was just 5 or 6 years old. My mum and dad took us to Turkey for a holiday and there I was introduced to this delight and I was hooked for life. 

Now even after so many decades, I still relish it the same way. I have tried making it at home not once but quite a lot of time but alas! I always end up getting worse at it. I have eaten the varied versions of baklava but mind you the ones made with delicate layers of filo dough and sweetened with honey syrups rolled in dried fruits are the ones which take me in to my childhood.
